I had this idea for a picture painting, trying to paint a Christmas tree with two flashlights. I don't have the best hand control, but it was fun anyways. It's hard to imagine what things are gonna look like, and to know the exact spots where to stop your hand, also the speed of the movement has to be constant, not too fast, not too slow. Here's the upload, with no post editing.

A cold snap

Last weekend we had 16cm of snow, having to shovel, salt, and bla bla bla. The temperature is still dropping and reached -9C this morning. My roomate brilliantly gave me the idea of making a tshirt wet and hanging if outside. I just had breakfast time to do it, about 20 - 30 minutes. So I did! Soaked a T-shirt, then hanged it outside, thinking that I would see it frozen when i'd come back from work. Nope, it was frozen in 25 minutes! Super fun, I recommend, do it!

I usually drive to and from work and cross this intersection where a block is populated with Cedar trees and the next few blocks are all Maple trees, causing this amazing contrast in the fall.

My best pumpkin ever

My roommate's pumpkin (Steve Irwin - Crocodile man), My girlfriend's pumpking (Sponge Bob) and My pumpkin (Einstein)

So, this week someone had a great idea of having a pumpkin carving contest. The rules were simple, u carve your pumpkin at home and bring it to work at lunch time. The CEO of the company then judge and choose the winner.
I love some competition and put myself entirely into it, I want to win, why spend all the effort and time for an OK result?
I phoned my girlfriend yesterday and asked her to get a couple of pumpkins at the grocery store after work. I borrowed some specialty knifes from work and we had some fun for the first hours carving. My roommate and girlfriend finished their pumpkins in two hours, and I still worked for 1 more hour, in a total of 3+ hours carving. Sore hands and cross-eyed after that, I lit the candle inside and there it was. Almost perfect (in my opinion). All the effort worth it, now I hope I can win this competition, with the second pumpkin carved in my whole life.

Storm cloud over Vancouver

This morning was chilly and sunny. I decided to bike to work from North Van, across the Lions Gate bridge and through Downtown busy streets, towards Commercial Drive area. I had a few stops to put jacket on and take jacket off. But when over the Dunsmuir Viaduct, looking south across from Science World I saw this massive black cloud covering Vancouver.
Of course, one more stop to take a picture. After all, it was a 53 minutes commute.

Foot jam on box at night

It was dark, starting to rain, but I was still at the park. It took me a few 20 tries to start getting this footjam right, then I could nail it every time. I had to go around 10 times while trying to take this picture. Sometimes is hard to time digital camera flashes and focus properly when it's too dark. My GF came to pick me up and took this picture before we left. What do you think?

You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes!

No wonder men are happier.
